Thomas Freeman

Thomas Freeman, M.S., BCBA, began his career in behavior analysis in 1979 at the Fernald State School, a large state residential institution in Massachusetts. He moved to Florida in 1995, where he earned his master of science in applied behavior analysis in 2000 at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2001, and was licensed as a behavior analyst in the State of New York in 2016. In addition to his more than 35 years of experience in applied behavior analysis, he also has extensive experience in wild animal behavior research (North Pacific Humpback Whales and Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins), primarily through the University of Hawaii Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory. Currently, he is the senior vice president for research and dissemination at ABA Technologies, Inc., and managing editor for tests and assessments in the online behavior analysis program for FIT. Prior to his current position, he served for 10 years as the district behavior analyst and local review committee chairperson for the State of Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, where he was responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all behavioral services across two counties. Freeman has produced a variety of presentations and publications, including co-authorship of the chapter, "Ethical Considerations for Applied Behavior Analysis" in Cooper, Heron, and Heward's (2007) Applied Behavior Analysis, 2nd Edition
