Joshua Jessel

Joshua Jessel, Ph.D., BCBA-D, completed his master's degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he also worked with children with severe problem behavior as a clinical specialist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute on the Neurobehavioral Inpatient unit. He then went on to earn his doctoral degree under the mentorship of Dr. Gregory Hanley at Western New England University, with his primary research focusing on the assessment and treatment of problem behavior exhibited by children with autism. Dr. Jessel continued to extend this line of research as a postdoctoral fellow at the Child Study Center, where he oversaw nearly 100 children with autism admitted to an outpatient program. He has currently published more than articles in multiple peer-review journals, including their flagship Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and teaches graduate-level courses in behavior analysis at the University of North Texas.
