Heidi Wettlaufer

Heidi Wettlaufer, has been in the field of early intervention special education and mental health for 35 years and resides in the Pittsburgh area. Her experience includes being a classroom teacher of children with autism, a group home Interventionist for adolescents with autism, director of a therapeutic children and family center in Pittsburgh, co-director of the Pennsylvania community-based Inclusion Support Project, and a research associate with the Allegheny Singer Research Institute. In her current position as a consultant with PaTTAN's Early Intervention Technical Assistance, Wettlaufer has supported early intervention programs and professionals to implement evidence-based practices for young children with autism and their families for the past 17 years.
